Its all thanks to a mate in Scotland who works for a certain newspaper that my dad likes to use as his daily fix of all that is true. "I read it in the Daily Record Helen" he can be heard stating on many an occasion. She asked if I would like to do a wee piece about being an expat for an on line site. However I was told it would be good to link readers to your blog..........Ah ok there is the swift kick up the butt. So the blog has began and the 500 words have been written and the lovely Katrina actually enjoyed them. So while being 7 hours away from family and friends I will hopefully be closer to you in a little while in the form of an article on line!!!!! SUper excited about this prospect.
This always comes much to the amusement of my friends back home. Oh bloody hell she's done ti again! However, on a more personal note I'm finding this blog a bit like therapy. I haven't taken to ranting about my neighbours or slagging off my hubby but I do look forward to bed time when I spend 10 or 15 minutes typing away. I'm sure there will be times when I just don't have anything to say or I just don't wanna share but for now I do.
Tonight Maya and I went to the cinema with a friend and her daughter and it was a really lovely night out. The kids were brilliant and I actually secretly (now openly) do love tinkerbell. The best part of the evening was the laughter at the end when Ella took to dancing like a crazy woman to the final credits. Nothing out of the ordinary but just enough to set the tears rolling. That is deffo way to make you feel good. Infectious laughter is so under rated. If you do one thing for me tomorrow laugh really loudly. ANd off the back of Ella and Maya's crazy dancing it's confirmed my tattoo for the summer. Some simple text that simply says:
Dance like no one is watching. Go on I dare you x
