Well I truly believe summer is beginning to rear it's somewhat sweaty head!!
I think that this time of year will make me thankful for the need to go back to work. Don't get me wrong I think I would probably get bored of cleaning the house and being a stepford but being in an air conditioned office all day is saving me right now. When we hit the car park at 7am it's already 38 degrees and I keep getting told that last year it was at least 10 degrees more at that time. Wowser, there goes the culture shock. However I still seem to be complaining a lot more than my 4 year old who seems to be taking it all in her stride. Save for the moaning and constant explanation of why she has to take a shower every day she seems all good with it.
Poor G is leaving the house every day at 3.30am so that he can get his crew on site in Abu Dhabi by 5am as they cannot legally work past 2.30pm. Another world indeed. Add in to this the fact that it is Ramadan. Or Ramadamage as my friend likes to call it. If I thought I had seen crazy driving before it's a whole new level now. So picture it, thousands of very tired, very hungry and very thirsty muslims trying to get back to their beds to see the fasting through to Iftar (7.20pm). I am fasting all day at work as that is what we have to do in the office (and to be fair its totally cool), however I don't know how they manage the no water thing. Food I could do without but fluids WOW.
Much respect for my first Ramadan, watching my mate Faz in the office come in every day with a smile on her face and not grumpy in the slightest. GO GIRL xxx Ramadan Kareem x
